Hi everyone!
I’m in a terrific mood becaaaaaaaause… I ended up getting promoted! Last episode I walked you all through my performance review. My boss LOVED the career framework so much that they are cloning it for the rest of the company! Thanks for the love on social this past week. 😘
ChatGPT, let’s talk about it.
I love it, I FREAKIN love it! Today, I’m going to give you some examples on how I use it as a Customer Marketer and my exact prompts. I’m sure you all are going crazy with it too so hit reply and tell me how you are using it. Maybe we can get a document going 👍
Example 1:
Customer Appreciation Day is coming up on May 19th (The 3rd Friday in May every year) I used ChatGPT to help me brainstorm. I think it did good. Here was my prompt:
Write out a marketing strategy for Sendoso celebrating Customer Appreciation Day. I have a $25,000 marketing budget and need to surprise & delight our customers.
Provide detailed out of the box examples of a comprehensive strategy, and the rough cost of each of the initiatives, must consider the marketing goals while creating the strategy.
Product: Sendoso
Available budget: $25,000
Marketing goal: Surprise and delight, improving brand awareness
Target audience: 5,000 b2b SaaS customers
Here is what it came up with:
Marketing Strategy for Sendoso's Customer Appreciation Day:
Virtual Cooking Class: Organize a virtual cooking class for your customers, where they can learn to cook a specific dish or cuisine. This could be a fun and interactive way to connect with your customers and show them your appreciation.
Personalized Video Messages: Create personalized video messages for each of your customers, thanking them for their business and highlighting how much you value their partnership. This is a unique and memorable way to show your appreciation and connect with your customers on a personal level.
Donations to a Charity: Instead of sending physical gifts, consider making a donation to a charity that aligns with your brand values and mission. Share this donation with your customers and let them know that you're making a positive impact together.
Virtual Game Night: Host a virtual game night for your customers, where they can play games and interact with each other. This could be a fun and unique way to connect with your customers and show them your appreciation.
Digital Artwork: Commission a piece of digital artwork from a local artist or illustrator that represents your brand or is personalized for your customers. This could be a unique and creative gift that your customers can display on their digital devices or social media profiles.
Social Media Campaign: To improve brand awareness, we can launch a social media campaign using the hashtag #SendosoAppreciatesYou. The campaign will encourage our customers to share their unboxing experiences and show their appreciation for our brand. The estimated cost for the social media campaign, including design, content creation, and advertising, is around $3,000.
Total Cost: $29,000
Expected ROI:
The success of this campaign cannot be measured by direct ROI since the budget has been used to build brand awareness and improve customer retention. However, we can expect the following benefits:
Improved brand recognition and reputation through the social media campaign and virtual event.
Increased customer loyalty and retention due to personalized gift boxes and thank you email.
Increased customer referrals through referral program or incentivized promotion.
Improved engagement and feedback through social media, email marketing, and virtual events.
Overall, this campaign is aimed at improving brand awareness, improving customer loyalty, and showing appreciation for our customers, which will help build long-term customer relationships and increase brand loyalty.
Well HOT DAMN! I not mad at that. Pretty good for me giving it 6 lines of text. 👍
Example 2
The next thing I use ChatGPT for is summarizing recordings of case studies. Yes! You can send it a frickin Zoom link and it will pop a case study out! 😳😳😳
Now it’s not a long and super detailed case study but it works! I use it as a summary of the call and pass it over to my content team. It’s too big to post but here was my prompt:
Write a case study from this interview with Fernanda T. at Motus when talking about Sendoso. Pull quotes to highlight. (Paste zoom link) 👇

Example 3
The next thing I use it for is punny messaging. I wasn’t sure if ChatGPT was funny. Turns out it’s a real kick in the pants. 🤣
Here’s my prompt:
Write a funny email asking a customer if they want to speak at the Forrester event and use football puns. Here’s what it spit out:
Subject: Are You Ready to Tackle the Forrester Event with Us?
Dear [Customer],
We hope this email finds you kicking off your day in great spirits! We are currently planning our upcoming Forrester event and we thought of you as a potential speaker. We think you could really score big with our audience!
We know you may be feeling a bit like a rookie when it comes to public speaking, but we believe you have the skills to tackle this challenge like a pro.
Your experience and expertise would be a game-changer for our event, and we're confident that you would be able to deliver a winning presentation.
If you're up for the challenge and ready to join our team, please let us know by replying to this email. We'll make sure you're not left out of the huddle and keep you in the loop about all the details.
Thank you for considering our invitation. We look forward to hearing from you soon and making this event a touchdown!
Pretty good! Way too many football puns but it understood the assignment👏👏
Example 4
Next, way I use ChatGPT is getting help writing a reply note to a bad G2 review. It doesn’t happen ofter but when it does, I want to make sure it’s perfect. You can copy and paste the review in the prompt and it will generate a reply. Love it!
Example 5:
Next, I wanted to change up my invite style so I’m sending them our latest yeti style mug from our warehouse and following up with an email. Here was my prompt:
Write an email invite to a virtual event on May 9th 2023 for customers of Sendoso who are field marketers with a coffee theme
Here is what it came up with:
Subject: Join Us for a Java-Fueled Virtual Event for Field Marketers
Dear [Customer],

Thanks for reading today! See you in 2 weeks.
Love your CMA Soulmate,
Leslie
P.S - I’m pretty worried about getting lazy and stupid from AI. So I asked it… 🤣
Solid advice!

Great newsletter!
Curious as to how you got it to listen to the Zoom call. I get a message that it can't access the content of the Zoom call without authorization. I provided a direct link to the recording. (are you pulling our collective leg with an April Fool's joke since it was April 1st?)
